The first climate effect:
The first climate effect results from the use of Outlast technology, which employs phase-change materials (PCM) that can absorb, store, and release heat to achieve optimal moisture and temperature management.
The second climate effect:
... results from the knitted fabric’s sandwich construction. Two layers of fabric, held apart by monofilament threads, form an insulating layer approximately 1 mm thick—that is, a 1-mm layer of air surrounding the body. This also serves as a buffer to absorb sweat vapor released by the body.

Dangers of Overheating
Base layers are responsible for the microclimate beneath thick, barely breathable shooting outerwear. When body temperature rises due to overheating, the shooter’s heart rate and blood pressure also increase, and this negatively affects vision and concentration.
Thermouche with PCM technology is the only material that can actively cool the body. The shooter doesn’t get as hot, so they sweat less, but all sweat vapor is distributed throughout the insulating layer, and both the skin and the Thermouche base layer feel dry.
